Green Ocean Coffee

I’ve been working with Watermark Coffee for many years now, and I always smile when I see MD David Lawlor’s incoming call. This time it was to go and shoot in lovely Clew Bay in Mayo.

Oysters and sea grass are great species for mitigating climate change and biodiversity loss it seems. Oysters are made up of calcium carbonate, which is basically carbon turned into rock! It takes ages to break down (see bronze age middens), so is a really good carbon sink. Sea grass captures more carbon than rain forest, and is a great habitat.

This was a project very close to my heart.

Did I mention the coffee is delicious, rain forest alliance certified, and comes in recyclable packaging.
